CVOR Tech – Travel Contract | Providence Facility, Alaska


Discipline: CVOR Surgical Technologist
Shift: Days, 4×10s | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Start Date: 11/09/2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed: 70 hrs per 2 weeks
Call: Required
Weekend: Weekend call coverage required
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Local Candidates: Not accepted — permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility
Facility: Acute Hospital | Magnet | Level II Trauma
Beds: 407

Requirements

  • 1+ year CVOR Tech experience – REQUIRED
  • BLS – REQUIRED
  • NBSTSA or NCCT – preferred
  • Compact license must be in hand at submission
  • Level II Trauma experience required
  • Level I Trauma experience preferred
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Travel experience not required

Strong CVOR Skills

Candidate should have experience with:

  • CABG
  • Valve repair/replacement
  • Mitral valve replacement
  • TAVR
  • TEVAR / EVAR
  • Aortic aneurysm repair
  • Carotid procedures
  • Aortobifemoral bypass
  • Femoral-popliteal bypass
  • AV fistula procedures
  • ECMO insertion/decannulation*
  • VAD procedures
  • Cardiothoracic robotic surgery*
  • Pediatric CVOR procedures*
  • General OR
  • Instrument processing
  • Sterilization/disinfection
  • Aseptic technique
  • Radiation and laser safety

*Preferred/specialized skills where indicated.

Schedule & Call

  • 4×10-hour day schedule
  • Call required
  • Weekend call coverage required
  • No block scheduling
  • No floating within scope listed in the core assignment details, although the client notes travelers may be asked to float to nearby sister facilities if needed.

Time Off / Holidays

  • Only 1 RTO request per 13-week assignment
  • RTO must be submitted up front
  • Up to 7 days recommended to avoid offer delays
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays:
    • Thanksgiving
    • Christmas Eve
    • Christmas Day
    • New Year's Eve
    • New Year's Day

Important Submission Notes

  • Only 1 Providence facility can be submitted at a time.
  • Candidate must disclose any previous employment/travel/registry work at a Providence facility, including location and dates.
  • 2 professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years are required during compliance.
  • Facility does not accept Nursys or background-check hits.
  • Travelers who refuse required floating may risk termination and/or loss of guaranteed hours.
  • Do not have the candidate contact the facility directly unless an interview has been communicated by the recruiter.
  • Modules are completed before start/during orientation and are non-billable.
