MRI Tech 

Location: Abilene, TX 79601 

Duration: 13 weeks 

Shift: Nights, 4x10 hours (7:30 PM–6:00 AM), Friday–Monday 

Block scheduling available

Requirements:

• 2 years of MRI experience required
• ARRT required; ARRT (MR) preferred
• BLS required
• Allscripts experience required
• Altera experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required
• 1 year of experience listed in initial requirements; 2 years required in job overview
• Travel experience preferred
• License must be in hand at submission
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted
• Must provide RTO at submission

Description:

• Perform MRI procedures for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients across acute care, ICU, outpatient, and ER/trauma settings.
• Perform MRI procedures involving the brain, spine, abdomen, pelvis, musculoskeletal system, and specialized imaging.
• Handle advanced procedures, including cardiac MRI, breast MRI, MRI arthrograms, MRI anesthesia, and MRI pacemaker cases.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs.
• Maintain radiation safety and follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• Operate MRI equipment and provide patient care in a Trauma Level II facility.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including radiology, IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
• Float may be required.
• Participate in on-call coverage as required.
