Description
Travel RN – Acute Rehab
Specialty: RN – Acute Rehab
Unit: DMCC – Acute Rehab Unit
Location: Illinois
Shift: 12H Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Hours: 36 hrs/week
Contract: 13 weeks (91 days)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
Charting: Epic
Required Certification: BLS (AHA)
IL License: Active required for submission; application initiated may be accepted
Unit Details
- Beds: 29
- Ratio: 5:1 days / 6:1 nights
- Patient Population: Neuro, neurosurgery, amputations, multi-trauma, cardiac, complex medical
- Strong Neuro Skills: Required
- Trachs: Yes; no ventilators
- Drips: No titration required; heparin is the primary drip
- Telemetry: Tele packs available; RN does not monitor/read strips
- Team Conferences: RN participation required
- Support Staff: Nurse aides, approximately 1:9–10
- Therapies: PT/OT/SLP
- Respiratory Equipment: CPAP/BiPAP at night; nasal cannula; heated high-flow not used
Schedule & Requirements
- Weekend: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Every other holiday rotation
- Call: None
- Floating: May float to LTAC/Med-Surg; HAU only if trained
- Orientation: 2-day classroom orientation + 2–3 days/nights with preceptor
- Rehab Documentation: QRP and department-specific documentation training required
