  • Nurse Practitioner (1 year)

Description

• Full-time Emergency Medicine advanced practitioner position
• Open to nurse practitioners and physician assistants with at least 1-2 years of EM or urgent care experience
• 12-hour shifts, rotating mix of shifts
• 25-bed critical access hospital
• Emergency department sees approximately 25,000 patients annually
• Collaborate with board-certified emergency physicians and experienced APPs
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans
• Perform procedures appropriate to the emergency medicine setting
• Stabilize and prepare patients for transfer to tertiary care facilities as needed
• Requires current national certification as a PA-C, FNP, or ACNP
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain an active, unrestricted Maine license and current ACLS and PALS certification required
• Competitive salary in the range of $120K-$180K, depending on experience
