Travel Weekly Rate: $1,879
 

Required Skills:

• Current RN licensure in good standing
• Strong assessment and clinical skills
• Ability to administer medications and perform medical procedures, including IV therapy and injections
• Knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutic diets, and infection control practices
• Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies, including CPR certification and skills
• Proficiency in documenting patient care accurately using charting protocols
• Leadership qualities for supervising and guiding other nursing staff
• Ability to assess physical, psychological, and social health factors

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in correctional healthcare or similar environment
• Knowledge of social and behavioral sciences applied to correctional health
• Basic skills in electrocardiogram (EKG) procedures
• Experience in emergency triage and first aid

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in a correctional or diverse clinical setting is advantageous
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to work within the scope of the State Nurse Practice Act and facility policies
• Ability to handle physical demands of the role, including rounds through secure housing units
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a professional appearance
• Flexibility to respond to urgent medical needs and work a schedule that meets operational needs
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and quality assurance activities
