Position Overview:

Morristown Medical Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Cardiac Cath Lab to provide clinical and operational leadership for its high-volume cardiovascular and electrophysiology programs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a complex medical center or teaching institution, with strong leadership experience in Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Structural Heart programs. Experience managing multiple procedure labs, high patient volumes, and critically ill/high-risk patients is strongly required.

• Current expansion from 5 Cardiac Cath Labs and 4 EP Labs to 7 Cardiac Cath Labs and 6 EP Labs

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee daily operations of the Cardiac Cath and EP Labs.
• Ensure efficient workflow, patient throughput, staffing, and resource utilization.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of Cath/EP staff.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, hospital leadership, and multidisciplinary departments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and safety standards.
• Manage operating and capital budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Develop and monitor quality improvement initiatives, clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and staff engagement.
• Use data, benchmarking, and best practices to improve cardiovascular and electrophysiology services.
• Support strategic planning and continued growth of cardiovascular service lines.
• Provide leadership for advanced cardiovascular procedures and technologies.
• Support the Cardiogenic Shock and Structural Heart programs through multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Oversee the integration and expansion of new procedure rooms and services.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of management/leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Cardiac Cath Lab and/or EP Lab experience.
• Experience in a complex medical center or teaching institution.
• Experience leading or managing a Cardiac Cath Lab; Structural Heart experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing high-volume cardiovascular programs with 4–5+ labs.
• Critical Care / high-risk patient experience required.
• Strong knowledge of interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures, equipment, and protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex operations.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience driving quality improvement and operational efficiency in high-volume cardiovascular settings.

Education:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Licensure & Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS required.
