Description

Cath Lab Technologist – Travel Assignment

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our healthcare team. The Cath Lab Tech will assist physicians and the cardiovascular team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures while ensuring patient safety and maintaining a sterile environment.
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and nurses during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures and provide appropriate procedural support.
  • Set up and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and equipment.
  • Operate and monitor specialized Cath Lab equipment and imaging systems.
  • Assist with procedures such as coronary angiography, PCI, stent placement, and other cardiovascular interventions.
  • Prepare and handle contrast media, medications, catheters, wires, and other procedural supplies as directed.
  • Monitor equipment and troubleshoot issues when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation.
  • Follow infection-control, radiation-safety, and hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, radiology staff, and other members of the cardiovascular team.
  • Assist with post-procedure patient care and room turnover.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • Experience with cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.
  • AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certification required.
  • Current ARRT RT(R) credential required.
