🔥 DAY-SHIFT CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST (CST) CONTRACT – FINGER LAKES REGION

An immediate 13-week travel contract opening is available for an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in Auburn, New York (Finger Lakes / Central NY area). Operating within the acute inpatient and ambulatory surgical suites at an established community hospital, this position features a dependable 5x8 daytime schedule (07:00 AM – 15:30 PM / 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, 40 hours guaranteed weekly). FIRST-TIME TRAVELERS WELCOME! NO ON-CALL SPECIFIED! The surgical department handles a diverse case mix spanning General, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology, ENT, and Robotic procedures. If you are a CST skilled in sterile field maintenance, broad specialty instrumentation, rapid room turnover, and surgeon case collaboration looking to earn $1,790/week in Central New York, this assignment is built for you!

Weekly Gross: $1,790.00
Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,150.00
Hourly W2 Rate: $16.00/hr (40 regular hours)
Overtime Rate: $24.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (07:00 AM – 15:30 PM / 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday).
Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks.
Department Setting: Inpatient Operating Room / Ambulatory Surgery (Unit: 6211 – OR Tech).
Clinical Specialty Scope & Case Mix:
- General Surgery: Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, open/laparoscopic colon resection, inguinal/umbilical hernia repairs, partial/total thyroidectomy.
- Orthopedics: Diagnostic arthroscopy, total knee replacement (TKR), total hip replacement (THR), and open/closed fracture reductions (ORIF/CRIF).
- Gynecology & Robotics: Abdominal/vaginal hysterectomies, A&P repairs, D&C, bilateral tubal ligation, and robotic-assisted gynecologic procedures.
- Urology & ENT: Cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, TURP, and pediatric/adult tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy.
Core Responsibilities: Scrubbing, case prep, sterile field maintenance, instrument passing, specimen handling, sharps safety, counting protocols, and room turnover.
EMR System: Paragon (facility-specific training provided during orientation).

- Active National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) CST Certification.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
