Description
Travel RN – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Shift: Days | 8-hour shifts
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 40 guaranteed hours per week
Experience: 3 years of CVOR circulating experience
Certifications: BLS and ACLS
EMR: Epic
Orientation: Facility-specific orientation provided
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced CVOR RN to join a high-acuity Cardiovascular and Thoracic Operating Room team. Nurses must be comfortable circulating in a fast-paced surgical environment and working with a variety of surgeons and complex cardiovascular procedures.
Shift & Schedule
- Monday–Friday, day shift
- 8-hour shifts
- Start time: 6:45 AM
- End time: 3:15 PM or 5:15 PM
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- Minimum of 1 weekday call shift per week
- Minimum of 1 full weekend of call per month
- Additional call may be required depending on staffing.
- Holiday call required.
- 30-minute call response time.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of CVOR circulating experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong cardiovascular operating room experience.
- Ability to circulate complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
- Must be comfortable working with multiple surgeons.
- Scrubbing experience preferred but not required.
Unit Details
- 12 CVOR operating suites.
- Approximately 20 cases per day.
- High-acuity Cardiovascular and Thoracic program.
- Approximately 25 surgeons.
- Hospital-provided scrubs.
- No floating required.

- MVR and AVR (Mitral and Aortic Valve Replacement)
- Kidney transplants
- Thoracic and cardiac robotic procedures
- Peripheral vascular procedures
- Aortic repairs
- Vascular access
- TEVAR/EVAR and TAVR
- Impella and IABP
- ECMO
Call Requirements
- Minimum of 1 weekday call shift per week.
- Minimum of 1 full weekend of call per month.
- Additional call may be required based on staffing.
- Holiday call is required.
- 30-minute response time.
Parking
- Daily parking: $15+ per day.
- Monthly parking passes: Approximately $95–$120.
- Multiple on-campus and off-campus parking options available.
