🔥 NIGHT-SHIFT ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST CONTRACT – NORTHERN VIRGINIA (DC METRO AREA)
An immediate 13-week travel contract opening is available for an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist in Leesburg, Virginia (Northern Virginia / Loudoun County). Operating within a busy, advanced hospital diagnostic imaging department, this position features a 40-hour overnight schedule covering Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (18:30 PM – 07:00 AM / 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM). NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! NO FLOATING! The ultrasound suite features 4 designated scan rooms and 4 state-of-the-art machines handling an average volume of 45–56 studies daily across general, vascular, and pediatric patient populations. If you are an ARDMS-certified sonographer proficient in acute emergency abdominal imaging, vascular assessments, and pediatric exams looking to earn $2,687/week with maximum allowable tax-free stipends in Northern Virginia, this assignment is built for you!

- Weekly Gross: $2,687.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,407.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $32.00/hr (40 regular hours)
- Overtime Rate: $48.00/hr
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Overnight shifts, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (18:30 PM – 07:00 AM / 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 40 hours guaranteed weekly).
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks.
- On-Call Requirements: NO ON-CALL REQUIRED!
- Floating Scope: NO FLOATING REQUIRED!
- Holiday Commitment: None unless a scheduled work day falls directly on a holiday.
- Department Setting & Equipment: 4 scan rooms, 4 dedicated ultrasound systems; departmental volume averages 45–56 cases per day.
- Clinical Scope & Patient Population:
- Routine and emergent adult diagnostic ultrasound (Abdomen, Small Parts, Pelvic, Vascular/DVT rule-outs).
- Pediatric ultrasound competency is required (high volume of pediatric abdominal/stomach cases: pyloric stenosis, appendicitis, intussusception).
- Evaluating urgent ED admissions, inpatient bedside consults, and preparing accurate preliminary sonographer worksheets for radiologist review.
- EMR System, Orientation & Uniform: Epic; 1 week of structured departmental orientation; Scrub color is Solid Black.

- Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated acute hospital sonography clinical experience.
- Certifications Required (Documents in hand):
- Active ARDMS Certification: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS - AB or OB/GYN, or RVT).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) — must be AHA, no exceptions.
- Clinical Competency Requirement: Proven independent competency in pediatric abdominal and acute emergency scanning.
