Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Requirements:
Active Montana State License as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, as applicable
ASCP certification or equivalent
Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field
Knowledge of routine laboratory procedures
Ability to perform manual and automated laboratory testing
Ability to work in all areas of the laboratory
Experience with Microbiology and Immunohematology preferred
Experience with specialized analyzers and laboratory equipment preferred
Knowledge of CLIA, HIPAA, and laboratory compliance requirements
Ability to work independently and cooperatively with all departments
Candidates with less than 1 year of experience may be considered

Responsibilities:
Prepare patient specimens and operate automated laboratory analyzers
Evaluate and report laboratory test results
Perform manual laboratory testing according to established procedures
Work across all areas of the laboratory, including Microbiology and Immunohematology
Perform laboratory quality control and proficiency testing
Participate in Quality Assurance activities
Participate in facility performance improvement projects
Operate specialized laboratory equipment and computer systems
Follow CLIA, HIPAA, compliance, and patient safety requirements
Work effectively with physicians, hospital staff, and other departments
Work independently and productively without direct supervision
Participate in on-call responsibilities
Provide nights, weekends, and holiday coverage as required
