Travel RN – Med Surg/Pulmonary | Trio – Care Career ID 62541430

Shift: Nights — 4×12s, 48 hrs/week
Option: 36 hrs/week if RN prefers
Contract: 13 weeks
Call: None
Weekend: Every other or every 3rd weekend, depending on staffing/census
Holiday: Must work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays unless unit is closed
EMR: Epic
NBO: 16 hrs
Float: Required across Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran

• Beds: 23
• Ratio: 1:4–6
• Drips: Heparin
• Pulmonary/ventilated patient care
• BiPAP and trach care
• May care for COVID+ patients

Must-Haves

• 24 months current Med Surg experience – REQUIRED
• Pulmonary patient care experience – REQUIRED
• Level II Trauma experience – REQUIRED
• BLS – AHA or American Red Cross
• Active Iowa/IA RN license or Compact/Multistate license at submission
• Discipline-specific Med Surg skills checklist
• Driver's license
• First-time travelers accepted if 2+ years Med Surg experience is met

Preferred

• Pulmonary/ventilator experience with BiPAP + trach care
• Level I Trauma experience
• Professional reference from charge RN/supervisor/manager/director within 24 months

Important Restrictions

• Locals within 50 miles are NOT accepted
• Previous UPH FTE/PRN employees are restricted from traveling to another UPH market under the stated separation policy.
• Travelers must float between campuses.

OT:

• 36–40 hrs: billable OT
• Over 40 hrs for 48-hr schedule: billable OT
• OT multiplier: 1.15×
• Callback: 1.5×, 2-hour minimum
• Charge/Precept: $6/hr
• On call: $9/hr when applicable
  
   This is a Night Med Surg/Pulmonary RN position requiring 2 years Med Surg + pulmonary experience + Level II Trauma + BLS + IA/Compact license, with 48-hour weeks available and required floating between campuses.
