Interventional Radiology Technologist — Contract 

Role: Interventional Radiology Technologist / Radiologic Technologist

Setting: Acute Care

Trauma Level: Level I — required

Contract: 13 weeks / 91 days

Guaranteed: 40 hours/week

Shift: Day shift

Primary schedule: Monday–Friday

Shift times: Either 8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM

Call: The posting header says “10H days plus call,” but the detailed unit notes say “Call Requirement: None.” This should be clarified with the recruiter/manager.

Weekend: Possible Saturdays

Floating: None outside Radiology

Cancellation: Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment

Required Credentials

• ARRT (R)
• Arizona MRTBE-CRT
• BLS
• AZ license required to submit, although the facility is willing to wait for it
• VI certification: Preferred/plus, but not required
• Scrub experience: Preferred
• BSN: Not applicable/required

Department

Interventional Radiology

• 2 general IR suites
• 1 spine IR room
• 2 neuro-endovascular suites
• Approximately 5–10 cases/day
• EMR: Cerner
• PACS/DR: Yes
• Equipment orientation includes Philips Allura and Medrad injector

Common Procedures

General IR experience includes:

• GI/GJ tubes
• Ports
• Angiography
• Lumbar punctures
• Myelograms
• Nephrostomy tubes
• Stents
• IVC filters
• Blood patches

Neuro experience is also valuable, particularly:

• Endovascular procedures
• Embolization
• Neuro stenting
• Stroke treatment

Staffing / Procedure Setup

For sedation cases:

• 2 RNs handle sedation
• RT scrubs with the physician
