CVOR Surgical Technologist – Berkeley Medical Center

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Schedule: 40 hours/week; shift preference may be considered
Pay Range: $31.54–$56.35/hour
Sign-On Bonus: Available; amount varies based on experience

WVU Medicine – Berkeley Medical Center is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to join its cardiovascular operating room team. This role supports cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures and works closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia, and other members of the surgical team to provide safe, efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and support the sterile field throughout surgery
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments and supplies during procedures
• Assist with counts, room turnover, and proper handling of surgical equipment
• Support cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases
• Collaborate with the OR team to maintain patient safety and efficient workflow

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience
• Strong experience in cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery preferred
• CVOR experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification required
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced acute care operating room environment
