Description
Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Day Shift
- Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 07:00 – 19:30 | Every Other Weekend Coverage
- Schedule Structure: Schedules posted on a 6-week rotation to meet unit operational needs (no block scheduling).
- RTO Restrictions: Pre-approved time off evaluated on a case-by-case basis (maximum 1 request permitted).
- Floating Protocol: Required to float to Antepartum, Postpartum/Couplet Care, or NICU (as a helping hand/sitter). May rarely float to sister campuses (Issaquah or Edmonds).

- C-Section Operating Room Circulating Experience [HARDSTOP]: Direct hands-on ability and clinical experience operating as a C-Section Circulating Nurse strictly required [HARDSTOP].
- Baby Nurse & Immediate Newborn Care [HARDSTOP]: Must function as the dedicated "Baby Nurse" during deliveries, performing immediate resuscitation/thermoregulation, APGAR scoring, eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K administration ("eyes & thighs"), and complete newborn physical assessments until postpartum transfer strictly required [HARDSTOP].
- High-Risk & High-Volume Antepartum/Obstetric Acuity [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical proficiency managing high-risk obstetric cases, advanced electronic fetal monitoring, and high-risk pharmacotherapy (Magnesium Sulfate infusions, Pitocin, Insulin drips, Heparin) in a fast-paced environment strictly required [HARDSTOP].
- EMR & Fetal Monitoring Systems [HARDSTOP]: Clinical proficiency with Epic EMR and OBIX Electronic Fetal Monitoring strictly required [HARDSTOP].
- State Licensure [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]: Active Washington State RN License OR active Multi-State Compact RN License strictly required at submission [HARDSTOP].
- Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]:
- Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — Healthcare Provider) [HARDSTOP].
- Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) [HARDSTOP].
- Preferred Credentials: AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring, AHA ACLS.
- Experience Baseline: Minimum 1 year of high-risk L&D experience required (2–3 years preferred). First-time travelers accepted.
