RN – Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility 

Shift

• Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 3 × 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours/week
• Every other weekend
• Holidays as needed
• Block scheduling
• No call
• Floating required when department volume is low
• Travelers may also float to other Cone Health campuses as needed.

Specialty

• RN – Long-Term Care (LTC)
• Skilled Nursing Facility / Nursing Home
• Geriatric patients only
• This is not a Tele RN position.
• A 12-lead EKG skill is listed, but the primary specialty is LTC.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Previous Nursing Home/SNF experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Travel experience not required
• 2 years previous charge experience is listed in the qualifications section.

Patient Population

• Geriatrics
• Average census: 80
• 92 beds:
  • 82 skilled beds
  • 10 rest-home beds
• Diagnoses include:
  • Hip fracture
  • Quadriceps tear
  • CVA
  • TBI
  • Diabetes
  • Hypothyroidism
  • GERD
  • Constipation
  • AFib
  • Hypertension
  • Dementia

• BLS
• EPIC experience
• Active RN license in hand at submission
• Must pass compliance EKG exam
  • 2 attempts allowed

• Modules are non-billable
• Modules approximately 2–4 hours
• Modules completed during orientation
