We are seeking a Med/Surg RN for a hospital Float Pool assignment where you'll have the opportunity to support multiple inpatient units based on your experience and competency. 🔄 Experience Multiple Clinical Areas

As a Float Pool RN, you'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of inpatient settings, including:

  • Medical-Surgical
  • Surgical
  • Medical Oncology
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation
  • Cardiac
  • Neuro/Trauma/Spine

This assignment is particularly appealing for nurses who enjoy learning new workflows, adapting to different patient populations, and broadening their acute-care skill set.


🩺 Your Responsibilities

You'll provide safe, comprehensive nursing care while adapting to the needs of different inpatient units.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
  • Provide direct nursing care, treatments, and therapies.
  • Administer medications and perform appropriate medical functions within scope of practice.
  • Monitor treatment plans and evaluate patient responses.
  • Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Provide patient and family education and health counseling.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Coordinate referrals and additional evaluations when needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Utilize clinical resources effectively.
  • Adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and workflows.
  • Float between assigned departments according to competency and facility needs.

Experience & Education

  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
  • Recent Med/Surg experience required/preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple inpatient units is a plus.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an ASN or higher.
  • Active RN license — Single-State or Compact.

Required Certifications

  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • NIHSS
