Description
Travel RN Job Requirements
- Specialty: Adult Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN.
- Shift: Night shift, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM.
- Hours: Approximately 36 hours/week, with possible overtime.
- Experience: Recent EPIC experience in a similar unit within the past 12 months is required.
- Certification: ACLS required.
- Telemetry: Must independently study telemetry strips before/after acceptance and pass a Basic Dysrhythmia test during the first week/orientation. Passing is required to work on the Telemetry/Med-Surg unit.
- Patient population: Adult, Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and Geriatric patients.
- Ratios: Approximately 1:5 days / 1:6 nights on telemetry.
- Floating: Required. May float to West Burlington or Henry County campus and other non-critical-care inpatient areas, including the ED when patients are boarded.
- Call: No regular call rotation, but may occasionally be placed on call during low census. If called in, must be able to arrive within 1 hour.
- Holidays: Every other holiday rotation required.
- EMR: Epic.
