๐ฅ HIGH-PAYING DAY/EVENING ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST CONTRACT โ EASTERN CONNECTICUT
An immediate 12-week travel contract opening is available for an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist in Willimantic, Connecticut. Operating within the acute diagnostic imaging and ultrasound department at an established community hospital, this high-compensating allied position features a 40-hour weekly schedule with variable day and evening shifts scheduled between the service hours of 07:00 AM and 20:00 PM (7:00 AM โ 8:00 PM, 40 hours guaranteed weekly). NO LATE-NIGHT CALL AFTER 8:00 PM! HIGH-PAYING NEW ENGLAND ALLIED CONTRACT! The department performs a comprehensive diagnostic case mix across Breast, OB/GYN, Vascular, and General imaging. If you are an ARDMS-certified sonographer skilled in multi-specialty clinical examinations looking to earn $3,107/week with maximum allowable tax-free stipends in New England, this assignment is built for you!

- Hourly W2 Rate: $46.00/hr (40 regular hours)

๐ SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: 40 hours weekly, variable shifts scheduled within operating service hours of 07:00 AM โ 20:00 PM (7:00 AM โ 8:00 PM).
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- Assignment Duration: 12 Weeks (October 19, 2026 โ January 16, 2027).
- Weekend Coverage: Rotating weekend coverage required.
- On-Call Structure: Rotational on-call required within operating coverage hours; NO ON-CALL AFTER 8:00 PM!
- Department Setting: Acute Care Hospital Diagnostic Imaging / Ultrasound Department.
- Clinical Scope & Procedures:
- Comprehensive diagnostic General sonography (Abdomen, Small Parts, Thyroid, Scrotal, Soft Tissue).
- OB/GYN imaging (transabdominal and transvaginal evaluations, pelvic pathology, early/routine obstetric exams).
- Vascular examinations (carotid duplex, upper/lower extremity venous duplex for DVT assessment).
- Diagnostic breast imaging and focal ultrasound evaluations.
- Formulating accurate preliminary technical summaries for Radiologist review.
- Equipment & Systems: Philips EPIQ ultrasound systems, Trophon high-level disinfection units, Epic EMR, and Sectra PACS.
๐จ REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience: Minimum 1โ2 years of dedicated acute care or community hospital ultrasound experience.
- Certifications Required (Documents in hand):
- ARDMS Certification: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Abdomen (AB) and/or OB/GYN.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Preferred Credential: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT / ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS / CCI) strongly preferred.
- Systems Proficiency: Prior operational experience with Epic, Philips EPIQ, Trophon, and Sectra PACS preferred.
