Seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. The RN will assess patients, administer medications and treatments, monitor changes in condition, provide education, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
 

Requirements:

• Current, active RN license in the State of Colorado
• 2 years of relevant Med Surg experience preferred
• Specialty certification preferred for applicable specialty areas
• BLS required upon hire
• ACLS required upon hire or within 6 months
• PALS required upon hire or within 6 months
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor patients and recognize changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies and other prescribed treatments
• Provide wound care and post-operative nursing care
• Monitor labs, vital signs and patient responses to treatment
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
• Maintain patient safety and follow hospital policies and nursing standards
