Schedule
- Day Shift: 4×10-hour shifts
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Schedule: Monday–Friday based on unit staffing
- Call: Required, including weekend call
- Float: Rare – may float to EP if needed
- Patient Population: Adults
Experience & Certifications
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Travel experience not required
- CCI RCIS required
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- ARRT R / Advanced Certification preferred
🚨 Critical Experience Required
Candidates must be proficient in scrubbing complex Cath Lab procedures, including:
- TAVR
- MitraClip
- Watchman
- Peripheral vascular procedures
- Impella
- IABP
- CTO procedures
Cath Lab Procedures
- Cardiac stent placement
- PCI / PTCA
- Left & right heart catheterization
- IABP placement/removal
- Impella insertion
- PA line insertion
- Rotablator atherectomy
- ASD/PFO closures
- Cardiac ablation / EP procedures
- IVC filter placement
- TEVAR
- Thrombolysis / thrombectomy
- EKOS
- Complex PCI
- Laser atherectomy
- Peripheral vascular interventions
Technical Responsibilities
- Scrub and maintain sterile field
- Room circulation
- Accurate patient/procedure monitoring
- Conscious sedation experience preferred
- Rhythm interpretation preferred
- Telemetry experience preferred
Unit Details
- Cath Lab operates with 8- and 10-hour shifts
- Primarily Monday–Friday
- Patient holding area is located within the Cath Lab; traveler may occasionally assist there
- Rare floating to EP
- Complex cardiovascular procedures performed regularly
Important Notes
This is a Rapid Response position and the facility has a high-level procedural requirement.
The traveler must be proficient with TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, peripheral procedures, Impella, IABP and CTO procedures.
The facility does not expect travelers to perform Watchman, MitraClip, or TAVR independently unless they have prior experience with those procedures.
Best fit: Experienced Cath Lab Tech/RCIS with strong complex interventional cardiology experience and the ability to scrub advanced procedures.
