Description

Massachusetts licensed NICU PICC RNs needed for a Massachusetts strike. The pay rate is $100/hour and we cover travel, housing, and transportation to/from work. This is an indefinite (no set end date) strike, preference will be given to RNs who can commit to the maximum amount of time on-site; however, the minimum commitment requirement is 18 days.

 

Unit Details: The Neonatal Vascular Access RN provides specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU caring for patients 22 weeks gestation and greater. This role serves as the primary resource for vascular access, with primary responsibility for the insertion and management of PICC lines and peripheral IVs. The RN delivers expert clinical care while supporting complex neonatal therapies, monitoring, and interventions. Perform PICC line insertions, peripheral IV placement, central line management, laboratory specimen collection, and vascular access troubleshooting. Monitor and manage critically ill neonatal patients receiving advanced respiratory support, including High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV), SIMV, High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV), high-flow therapy, and Nitric Oxide. Pref exp with therapeutic hypothermia (Arctic Sun) and aEEG monitoring. Arterial sticks strongly preferred
