RN – Med Surg/Telemetry | Houston, TX

Job Details

Location: Houston, Texas
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Duration: 6 weeks
Shift: Days
Shift Length: 12 hours (7:00 AM–7:00 PM)
Hours: 48 hours scheduled per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
Scheduling: Flexible scheduling required; no self-scheduling

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of RN experience; 3+ years preferred
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Active RN license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
EPIC experience required
Cardiac drip experience required
Must be comfortable interpreting EKG rhythms and telemetry strips
Must be flexible with floating to other units
Charge nurse experience preferred, but not required

Unit Details

Med Surg/Telemetry
Provides backup care for neurology, stroke, and neurosurgery patients
Busy, high-volume Level I trauma hospital
All units have telemetry monitoring, and RNs must interpret cardiac rhythms
First to float when needed
Navy scrubs required
