Description

Med Surg RN – Fargo, ND
Shift: 12-Hour Day/Night Rotate, every other weekend
Facility: Sanford Health – Broadway campus (6S/7S oncology/hematology units)
Charting: EPIC | Trauma Level: 1 | Care Setting: Acute

Unit Overview

  • 6S: 16 inpatient oncology beds | 7S: 12 inpatient hematology/BMT-focused beds (12 more beds in remodel)
  • Ratios: 1:3 (chemo/BMT patients) | 1:4–5 (regular oncology, days) | 1:4–6 (nights)
  • D/N rotating 12s, every other weekend, every other holiday
  • No call required; won't work alone
  • Float required to other Broadway med-surg units, with potential float to Med Center or South campuses
  • Orientation: 8 hrs classroom + 24–36 hrs unit training

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years recent nursing experience in a large hospital (250+ beds), Level 1 trauma center experience
  • Travel experience highly preferred; inpatient oncology preferred, hematology/BMT a bonus
  • Certifications: BLS (AHA)
  • License: Active ND or compact RN license, or willing to obtain — willing to wait on license to submit
  • EPIC experience required
  • Willing to float to all Fargo med-surg units/locations as needed
  • MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health — if so, prior end date must be at least 6 months before the new submission date
  • Include good interview times with submission — manager interviews directly before extending an offer
