Description

Adolescent Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Adolescent Psych RN) – Night Shift

  • Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:30 | 34.5 Guaranteed Hours per Week
    • Schedule Structure: Schedule demands flexibility to fill core staffing gaps (block scheduling not guaranteed). Excessive absences may result in contract termination.
    • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required.
    • Holiday Coverage: Required to work at least 1 major holiday during the holiday season.
    • On-Call / Standby: No call or standby requirements.
    • Floating Protocol: First to float as needed; may float to Adult Psych, Child Psych, Psych Emergency/Crisis, Detox, or Rehab units.
  • Assignment Duration: 13-Week Contract Assignment | 1 Open Position | Job ID: 1191299
  • Location Region: Bronx, New York (NY) | Local & Travel Candidates Accepted

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Clinical Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 1 year of dedicated Psychiatric RN clinical experience strictly required, along with pediatric/adolescent clinical exposure [HARDSTOP]. First-time travelers accepted.
  • De-escalation Certification [HARDSTOP]: Must hold Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) OR Prevention and Management of Crisis Situations (PMCS) certification prior to start [HARDSTOP].
  • State Licensure [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]: Active New York RN License strictly required at submission [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — Healthcare Provider) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) [HARDSTOP].
    • Education: BSN preferred.
