Halcyon Nurse Staffing is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for per diem Emergency Department shifts at Centinela Hospital Medical Center. Multiple positions are available, with an ASAP start.

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled and compassionate Emergency Department RNs to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable caring for patients with varying levels of acuity and working collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Provide emergency nursing care based on patient acuity and clinical needs.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, labs, and changes in patient condition.
• Assist with emergency procedures and interventions.
• Prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, and families.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and facility policies.
• Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Active California RN License
• Current BLS Certification – American Heart Association
• Current ACLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Experience caring for patients with varying levels of acuity
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency department
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must be reliable and able to commit to the assignment schedule
