🏥 Travel Endoscopy RN
📍 Location: Ithaca, NY
⏳ Contract: 13 weeks
💰 Weekly Pay: $2,475/week gross*
🕐 Shift Details
Day Shift
7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
📋 Requirements
Current NYS Registered Nursing license required.
Current BLS required.
ACLS certification must be obtained prior to completion of the introductory period.
Previous hospital aide or LPN experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced endoscopy environment.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinates outpatient and inpatient services for Cayuga Medical Center.
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care services.
Coordinates preadmission nursing assessments, testing, procedures, and post-procedure care.
Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to provide safe, comprehensive patient care.
Provides physicians with appropriate equipment and supplies for each procedure.
Participates in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Accurately collects data and updates patient records.
Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Disinfects and organizes equipment and supplies used during procedures.
Educates patients and families and reinforces physician instructions.
Develops, implements, and monitors appropriate standards, policies, and procedures.
May function as a designated charge nurse.
May supervise LPNs, Endoscopy Technicians, Hospital Aides, and Patient Access Representatives.
Must be flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities as needed.
Physical Requirements
Good dexterity required.
Frequent pushing force of 10–25 lbs.
Occasionally may push up to 75 lbs.
May carry 10–15 lbs.
Rarely lifts up to 50 lbs.
Constant walking and standing.
Intermittent stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and lifting.
