Travel RN – ICU Float Pool
Location: New Haven, CT 0
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Days | 3x12s | 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- 3x12 or 4x12s
- Every other weekend
- No on-call
- No block scheduling
- Guaranteed hours
- Float between Hospitals
Requirements
- 2+ years ICU experience
- First-time travelers accepted
- ACLS, BLS & NIHSS required
- TNCC preferred
- Active CT RN license required before start
- 1 professional reference required
- Epic listed for the facility
- Locals within 75 miles not accepted
Clinical Skills
- IV therapy
- Arterial & central line management
- Ventilated patient care
- Continuous IV sedation
- Cardiac monitoring & dysrhythmia management
- Pulmonary artery/Swan-Ganz monitoring
- Ventriculostomies
- EVD experience preferred
Unit Details
- ICU Float Pool – generalist role; no specific ICU specialty required
- Float across 5 ICU specialties and step-down units
- Patient ratio: 1:1–2
- Adult & geriatric patients
- ICU specialties include MICU, CTICU, SICU, CICU and NICU
- Float to step-down as needed, including pulmonary step-down
- CRRT, balloon pump and VAS not required
- Level I Trauma Center
