Physician – Family Practice:
Facility: Will Rogers Health Center
Position: Family Practice Physician – MD/DO
Assignment: November 23, 2026 – February 20, 2027
Duration: 90 days, with possibility of extension and potential full-time employment
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week
Hours: Between 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Call: None
OT: None
Float: None
Location: Oklahoma
Position Overview:
Will Rogers Health Center is seeking a qualified Family Practice Physician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive primary care services for adult and pediatric patients.
The physician will work independently in a primary care clinic and must be comfortable managing patients across all age groups. Tribal or rural health experience is preferred but not required.
Schedule:
The position requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Possible schedules include:
- 4 × 10-hour days, or
- 5 × 8-hour days
Regularly scheduled hours will fall between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, based on the schedule determined by the medical leadership.
- Lunch break required
- No overtime

- No floating
Patient Volume:
After an initial orientation and ramp-up period, the physician will be expected to manage approximately:
- 18–24 scheduled patients per day, depending on the schedule
- Routine primary care and acute/drop-in visits
- Ability to see adult and pediatric patients is required
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
- MD or DO
- Family Medicine or Internal Medicine training/experience
- Emergency Medicine training/experience may also be considered based on the facility's needs
Family Medicine candidates must have either:
- Current certification, active participation in the examination process, or eligibility for examination through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), OR
- Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Family Medicine residency program
Internal Medicine candidates must have either:
- Current certification, active participation in the examination process, or eligibility for examination through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), OR
- Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Internal Medicine residency program
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active Oklahoma medical license – REQUIRED
- No exception
- BLS – Required
- ACLS – Required
- PALS – Required
- Must be able to see and manage both adult and pediatric patients
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous tribal health experience
- Previous rural health experience
- Cerner EMR experience
Cerner experience is preferred but not required.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care to adult and pediatric patients.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat routine and acute medical conditions.
- Perform preventive care and health maintenance.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing.
- Manage chronic conditions and coordinate specialty referrals.
- Provide patient education and counseling.
- Complete medical documentation accurately and timely.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and other clinic activities as needed.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
Clinical Support Team
The physician will have access to:
- Dedicated LPN for patient rooming
- Clinical Assistant
- RN for referral management
- Nursing Case Managers supporting chronic care needs, including diabetes, women's health, and cancer care
- Digital Clinical Assistant integrated into the EMR to assist with clinical documentation
Must-Haves

✓ Active Oklahoma medical license – NO EXCEPTION

✓ Able to treat adult & pediatric patients
✓ BLS, ACLS & PALS
✓ Available for 40 hours/week
