Description
Specialty: Med/Surg Tele – IMC -We float staff to all Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units within MMC.
• Shift: Day shift is 0700 – 1930
• Weekend Hours: Varies (Travelers will be scheduled weekends, but the amount will fluctuate based on unit need)
• Call Requirements: No
• Years of Experience: 2 years inpatient hospital experience preferred, Level 1 Trauma experience required. 1 year travel experience required.
• Float Requirements: Float Pool position, will float every shift
Valid RN License (State of Maine)
ACLS Preferred
BLS Required
Unit Information:
• Number of Beds: Varies based on unit floated to – smallest unit at MMC has 15 beds, largest has 40+ beds
• Patient Ratios: Typically, 1:4 on days (possibility of 1:5 when stretching) and 1:5 on nights (possibility of 1:6 when stretched)
• Equipment: Abbott Plum Pumps
• EMR: EPIC
• Must Have Skills/Experience: 2 years Level 1 Trauma acute hospital experience; must be able to read & interpret telemetry strips
Minimum 1 year travel, or prior Float Pool experience will set the traveler up for success and must have Level 1 Trauma in a 500 bed facility or larger.
