🔥 40-HOUR DAY-SHIFT ENDOSCOPY / GI PROCEDURAL RN CONTRACT – FINGER LAKES REGION (ITHACA, NY)
An immediate 13-week travel contract opening is available for an experienced Endoscopy / Gastroenterology Registered Nurse (RN) in Ithaca, New York (Finger Lakes / Central NY area). Operating across a state-of-the-art outpatient endoscopy suite and the acute inpatient procedural unit, this position features a desirable 4x10 daytime schedule (07:00 AM – 17:00 PM / 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours guaranteed weekly). HIGH-PAYING NEW YORK PROCEDURAL CONTRACT! NO IMMEDIATE ACLS REQUIRED AT SUBMISSION! The service line handles a broad spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures. If you are an acute endoscopy nurse skilled in pre-procedure workups, intra-procedural physician assistance, moderate sedation monitoring, and Phase I/II post-procedure recovery looking to earn $2,735/week with maximum allowable tax-free stipends in New York, this assignment is built for you!

- Weekly Gross: $2,735.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,575.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $29.00/hr (40 regular hours)
- Overtime Rate: $43.50/hr
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10-Hours (07:00 AM – 17:00 PM / 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours guaranteed weekly).
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (November 01, 2026 – January 30, 2027).
- On-Call Requirements: Rotational on-call coverage required to support urgent procedure needs.
- Department Setting: Outpatient Endoscopy Center & Inpatient Hospital Endoscopy Unit.
- Clinical Scope & Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and managing care for both inpatient and outpatient endoscopy procedures.
- Performing pre-admission assessments, intake testing, and baseline clinical evaluations.
- Assisting gastroenterologists and surgical teams during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies (EGD, Colonoscopy, Polypectomy, Biopsies, Dilatations, and Hemostatic interventions).
- Direct monitoring of conscious sedation, vital signs, airway patency, and patient comfort.
- Overseeing Phase I/II recovery, post-procedure assessment, and discharge education.
- Providing leadership and clinical delegation to LPNs, endoscopy technicians, and support aides.
- EMR System: Epic.
🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated acute care hospital Endoscopy/GI Lab or procedural clinical nursing experience.
- Licensure: Active New York State (NYS) RN License strictly in hand at submittal.
- Certifications Required at Submittal:
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
- (ACLS certification must be active or obtained prior to completion of orientation).
