RN Step Down – PHP Atrium Medical Center

Location: Middletown, OH
Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Inpatient
Start: 10/26/2026
Contract: 13 weeks (Winter contract; 18 weeks also available)
 

Schedule

• 🌙 Nights: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 4×12s listed; description also says 3×12 or 4×12
• Patient ratio: 1:5
• Every other weekend/holiday
• Float required; traveler is first to float
• 24 hours orientation, billable

Required

• RN
• Epic experience required
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must pass online EKG/Telemetry competency assessment before starting
• Active state RN or compact license accepted for submission
• No previous license disciplinary action
• Travel experience not required
• Charge experience preferred

Strong clinical experience

• PCU/Stepdown/IMC/DOU
• Cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia management
• MS/Tele
• Cardiac drips
• Post-MI, cardiac cath/stents, pacemakers/ablations
• CHF, COPD, stroke/TIA, seizures, renal failure
• BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC/Vapotherm
• Chest tubes
• Central/PICC/IV management
• Peritoneal dialysis
• Trauma and post-surgical telemetry patients

Important submission rules

• Local radius: 50 miles — local travelers NOT accepted
• RTO max 14 days
• RTO and available start date must be on the front page at submission
• No RTO/schedule negotiation after offer
• Must be comfortable floating with no restrictions
• Lab work + EKG/dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing
• Flu vaccine required unless medical/religious exemption
• COVID vaccine not required
• Premier can cancel up to 2 shifts for low census during a 13-week contract.
