Description

Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (High-Acuity Unit)

Shift: Nights | 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Contract: 20+ Weeks Available (through 02/27/2027)
Weekend: Every Other Weekend (minimum 6 shifts per 6-week schedule)

 

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years of L&D experience (3+ years preferred)
  • Experience in a facility with 300+ births per month
  • Circulate experience
  • Sterile Vaginal Exams (SVE)
  • Immediate Newborn Care
  • BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate required
  • First-time travelers accepted

Unit Highlights

  • Fast-paced, high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit
  • Approximately 20 births per day
  • 30-40 admissions daily
  • 20-room unit
  • Double labor assignments are common
  • Obstetrical Triage, High-Risk Antepartum, Postpartum, and L&D patients
  • Scheduled and emergency C-sections
  • High-risk maternity patients
  • Float to High-Risk OB unit as needed

Ratios & Systems

  • Typical ratio: 2:1
  • Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR

     

Ideal Candidate: Strong Labor & Delivery RN with recent high-volume birth center experience, OR circulation skills, and the ability to thrive in a busy, high-acuity environment.
