Traveler Pay: $2855 weekly ($32/hr. on w2 + $1015 Stipend) for 36 hours.

JOB DETAILS:

• Position - RN Endoscopy
• Location - 2435 Triphammer Rd, Ithaca, NY, 14850
• Duration - 13 weeks contract
• Shift - 07:00 - 17:00

REQUIREMENT:

• Requirements:
• Experience – Previous hospital aide or LPN experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Licensure – Current NYS Registered Nursing license
• Certifications – Current BLS. ACLS certification must be obtained prior to completion of the introductory period.

Job Summary:  This is a professional position responsible for the coordination of outpatient and inpatient services for Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca. This position will be responsible to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate services provided for patients. This person is responsible for linking the hospital and physicians by providing services for inpatients and outpatients. These services include but are not limited to preadmission nursing assessments, testing, care, and coordinating these inpatient and outpatient procedures with the physicians and/or other groups as appropriate. Also includes the post procedure care and assessment of the inpatient and outpatient procedure patients. Does related work as required. Promotes quality patient care by establishing and monitoring standards of care. May function as a designated charge nurse. Supervision may be exercised over LPN’s, Endoscopy Technicians, Hospital Aides, and unit Patient Access Representatives.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary team to provide safe, comprehensive patient care in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• Administers optimal patient care by providing physician with appropriate equipment and supplies for each procedure.
• Participates in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrates accuracy in data collection and updating patient records.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
• Disinfects and organizes equipment and supplies used during procedures.
• Educates patients and families on aspects of health care that will promote health and well-being including reinforcing the physician’s instructions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate standards, policies and procedures.
• Accountable for all information and in-service education that is disseminated via computer, postings, staff meetings, etc.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships in conjunction to being a positive
• Flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities not noted above.
