RN – IMC / Neuro Stepdown
Location: Charlotte, NC
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Nights | 4x12s
- 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
- 36 or 48 hours/week available
- Every other weekend
- No call
- Float required to other intermediate/critical care units
Requirements
- 2+ years RN experience
- Neuro experience strongly preferred/requested
- Travel experience required — first-time travelers not accepted
- Epic experience required
- ACLS, BLS & NIHSS required
- NC or Compact RN license
- Must be able to titrate Levophed (LEVO)
- Must pass EKG testing before start
- Strong teamwork and professionalism required
Required Clinical Skills
- Neuro Stepdown / PCU / IMC / Telemetry
- Neuro conditions: CVA, intracranial bleeds, aneurysms, craniotomy, seizures, TBI, spinal cord injuries
- Pre/post neurosurgery and post-TPA care
- Telemetry and dysrhythmia management
- Central/PICC/peripheral lines and IV management
- Blood products, heparin protocols and thrombolytics
- Titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
- Ventilator, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC and tracheostomy care
- ABG interpretation
- CBI and hemodialysis management
- Feeding tubes, wound care/wound vac and surgical drains
