Job Breakdown – Angiography Tech

Position: Angiography Tech / Interventional Radiology Tech
Facility: CAMC Memorial / sister facility CAMC General
Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital, Level IV Trauma Center
Beds: 838
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Schedule

• 4 × 10-hour day shifts
• 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
• Monday–Friday
• On-call required
• Approximately 8 call days/month
• Every 3rd weekend — approximately 5–6 weekends during the contract
• 30-minute response time
• 2-hour callback minimum
• Block scheduling requests may be accommodated if reasonable
• Must float to CAMC General, approximately 2 miles away, for 1 week

🚨 Critical Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience
• First-time travelers ARE accepted
• ARRT required
• WV State License required
  • Pending license can be submitted
  • Must be active before start
• BLS required
• RCIS is NOT accepted
• Vascular Intervention certification is preferred
• Strong Interventional Radiology/Angiography experience required

Main Procedures / Skills

Candidate should have experience with:

• Peripheral angiography/venography
• Angioplasty
• Carotid stenting
• EVAR / TEVAR
• Neuro-intervention / acute stroke
• Embolization
• Thrombolysis/thrombectomy
• Vascular closure systems — Perclose, StarClose
• Fluoroscopy
• Scrub/circulate
• Sterile technique
• Access-site preparation
• Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Equipment setup and maintenance

Unit Details

• Interventional Vascular Radiology Suite
• 3 rooms
• Daily census: 7–10
• Patient ratio: approximately 1:1
• Patient population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Charting: Cerner
• Hospital provides blue surgical scrubs
• Free parking

Radius Rule

• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility for travel.
• 60–99 miles: May be considered for facility approval.
• Current/previous permanent CAMC employees must wait 2 years after their last permanent employment before returning as a traveler.

Vaccine

• COVID vaccine: Not required
• Flu vaccine: Required during Oct. 1–Mar. 31
• Medical exemption requires documentation from an allergist or physician.
