Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Facility: Mission Hospital – Memorial Campus
Location: Asheville, NC
Shift: 18:30–19:00
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Contract: 13 weeks

• EMR: Cerner
• Major referral center for Western North Carolina
• Open-heart and interventional cardiology services
• Large robotic surgery program

Respiratory Services

Location: Main RT Department – A343
Staff: ~120

• Day shift: 15–20 RRTs for adult services + 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds
• Night shift: 12–16 RRTs for adult services + 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds
• Patient ratio: approximately 1:10–25

Required Experience

🚨 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Candidate must have:

• 5 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Current North Carolina Respiratory License
• RRT – Registered Respiratory Therapist
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS

Preferred

• NRP preferred

Equipment

• GE R860 adult ventilators
• Draeger infant/pediatric ventilators
• Newport HT70 transport ventilator
• V60 non-invasive ventilation
• Vapotherm
• Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices

Floating

Must be willing to float to:

• All Critical Care units
• Other hospital floors as needed

Schedule / Weekends

• Varying weekends
• At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• On-call requirements: Not specified

Dress Code

• Medium Gray / Pewter scrubs

Must-Haves

5 years RT experience + NC Respiratory License + RRT + BLS + ACLS + PALS.

Strong candidate: RRT with 5+ years of experience, NC license, adult critical-care experience, and comfort working across critical-care units with adult, pediatric, and NICU exposure.
