Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Specialty/Department: Emergency Department / Emergency Room Nursing
Location: Clinton, Illinois 61727
Shift: Nights — 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 36 hours/week; rotating weekends; holiday coverage required
Duration: 12 weeks
Job Type: Contract
Experience Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience
License Requirements: Current, active Illinois RN license
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
Preferred Certifications: ENPC, TNCC, TNS
EMR: Meditech

Job Summary

Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, evaluating outcomes, coordinating with physicians and other specialists, monitoring changes in patient status, and adjusting nursing care as needed.

The RN is expected to provide comprehensive care addressing the physical, psychosocial, and communication needs of patients and families while responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.

Important Notes

Night shift: 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
Rotating weekends
Holiday coverage required
36 guaranteed hours/week
Overtime begins after 40 hours/week
No on-call requirement
Start date is ASAP and typically within approximately 2 weeks after offer acceptance and completion of onboarding/credentialing requirements.
