Description
PCU/Med Surg Tele RN
Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | 12-hour nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Weekend: Every other weekend
On-Call: None
Floating: Required to inpatient units within scope of practice
Position Summary:
Adaptive Acuity Unit with a 1:5 ratio. Travelers may occasionally be required to provide PCU-level care at a 1:3 ratio. PCU care and floating are mandatory and cannot be refused.
Unit Details:
- 25-bed Adaptive Acuity Unit
- Patient ratio: 1:5; PCU care may be 1:3
- Insulin, Esmolol, and Sodium drips required
- Charge experience required
- Travelers must be willing to work charge
Requirements:
- 2+ years of current Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
- PCU experience strongly required
- Charge experience required
- Drip experience required
- ICU experience preferred
- At least 3 months of previous travel experience required
- Small critical access facility experience preferred
- Must have own vehicle
- Active Vermont or Compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
- PCU, Med Surg, and Telemetry skills checklists completed within the past year
- One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required
Time-Off & Scheduling:
- Maximum 5 days of RTO
- All RTO must be submitted with the profile
- No scheduling accommodations or block scheduling
- Travelers must work required holiday blocks as scheduled
- Must work 2 of the following holiday blocks if scheduled:
- Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend
- Christmas Eve through the following weekend
- New Year's Eve through the following weekend
