Unit Med/Surg.
# Beds 3 Med/Surg Units Total: MS/Vent (31 Beds), MS Ortho (31 Beds) Med/Surg (38 beds).
Nurse: Patient Ratios 1:9 - PCA Techs on the unit to help.
Required certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS, COVID Vaccination, NY License.
Common diagnoses/Types of patients Vents, Ortho, General Med/Surg.
Experience or 'Must have' skills 2 Year experience required, EPIC Experience required.
Shifts & Scheduling 12 Hour Shifts.
Weekend Requirement Yes.
Holiday Requirement Yes.
Is there Call or a Standby requirement? No.
Floating Requirements? Maybe asked to float within Med/Surg units.
Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided? Navy Blue.
Unit/Department specific orientation Yes, 2 days.
Additional Notes Traveler Friendly, ***Free PARKING if available in lot across the street, metered parking on street; otherwise parking garage is $70 / month.

Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.
Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
