Description
RN CVICU | Reston, VA
Location: Reston, VA 20190
Contract: 13 weeks
Experience: 2 years
Unit Details:
- Beds: 4
- Patient Ratios:
- Immediate post-surgical: 1:1
- POD 1–3: 1:2
- Staffing: Primary nursing
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
- Schedule: 36 hours/week
- Weekends: 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
- Floating: Will maintain the same patient ratio as the unit being floated to
Required Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience caring for fresh cardiac surgery patients
- Direct primary recovery experience required
Advanced Skills Required:
- ACLS
- Balloon pump experience/training
- Impella training
- Hemosphere or Acumen training
Unit Focus:
- New cardiac surgery program launch
Required Certification:
- ACLS
