💼 Position Details:
Title: RN – Labor & Delivery
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Start Date: 11/09/2026
Duration: 16 weeks
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts
Shift: Night | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
EMR: Epic
🩺 Your Role
As a Labor & Delivery RN, you'll provide comprehensive perinatal care across antepartum, intrapartum, delivery, and postpartum settings while supporting high-risk pregnancies and surgical deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for laboring and high-risk antepartum patients.
- Perform fetal heart monitoring and ongoing maternal-fetal assessments.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and manage labor and delivery patients.
- Circulate for C-sections and work within the OR suite during surgical deliveries.
- Scrub for C-sections when qualified.
- Support PACU care following C-sections and other obstetric procedures.
- Perform the newborn role during delivery and provide immediate newborn care.
- Provide postpartum couplet care for mother and newborn as needed.
- Support OB triage, antepartum procedures, and sterile vaginal examinations.
- Care for patients undergoing emergency procedures such as D&C or emergent hysterectomy.
- Float to postpartum when needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
🎯 Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Travel experience required
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Active CA RN license
- Epic experience required
- AWHONN Advanced OR NCC EFM accepted
- ACLS, BLS, NRP & FHM
- Community hospital experience required
- Strong experience with high-risk antepartum and intrapartum care
- Experience with vaginal delivery and C-section circulation
- Ability to work across antepartum, L&D, OR, and postpartum
- Every other weekend
- Float to postpartum required
- No on-call requirement
- RTO must be submitted at time of submission
