Social Worker – Behavioral Health

📍 Location: Devens, Massachusetts
🕐 Schedule: Day Shift
⏰ Hours: 40 hours/week
📅 Weekends: No weekends required

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a multidisciplinary behavioral health treatment team. The Social Worker will provide clinical support to patients and their families while helping develop treatment plans, coordinate care, and support successful discharge and aftercare planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect clinical social work services to patients, families, and legal guardians.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Provide case management, individual and family therapy, and clinical interventions.
• Develop and document appropriate treatment goals and interventions.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordinate aftercare services.
• Support insurance utilization review and care coordination.
• Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other members of the treatment team.
• Connect patients and families with appropriate community resources and support services.
• Perform risk and safety assessments and support patients with psychiatric needs.

Requirements

• LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC/license eligibility in Massachusetts
• Clinical Master's Degree required.
• CANS Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Prior experience in inpatient behavioral health, short-term treatment, or acute care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health treatment and family-system modalities.
• Experience with psychiatric patients and risk/safety assessments.
• Strong computer and Electronic Health Record (EHR) skills.
• Medsphere/Vista EHR experience preferred.
• Understanding of community resources and post-discharge support systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
