Unit Profile: X-Ray Tech
Location: Hartwick Specialty Services
Department: Convenient Care / Outpatient Imaging
Call Requirement: None
Patient Population & Imaging
• Setting: Convenient Care with some outpatient walk-in X-ray
• Patient Population: Mixed – adult, pediatric, and geriatric
• Average Volume: Approximately 10 exams per technologist per shift
• Portable X-Ray: No
• Fluoroscopy: No
• OR/C-Arm/Surgical Imaging: No
• Primary Service Supported: Convenient Care
Equipment & Systems
• X-Ray Equipment: Philips 7300
• Imaging Type: DR
• PACS: McKesson / Change Healthcare
• EMR/Imaging System: Epic Radiant
Staffing & Workflow
• X-Ray Tech Staffing: 1 technologist per shift
• Independent Coverage: Traveler will be the only X-ray technologist onsite
• Additional Support: Nursing staff and provider onsite
• Radiologist Coverage: Images may be read onsite or remotely; coverage varies by
day
• Additional Responsibilities: Room turnover
Requirements

• BLS: Required
