Job Breakdown – Ambulatory Oncology Infusion RN
Facility: Johns Hopkins Hospital – Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center
Unit: Viragh Infusion Clinic – Ambulatory Oncology Infusion
Schedule
- 10-hour days: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Ambulatory infusion clinic
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: Not specified
Required
- Active RN license
- 2 years RN experience
- BLS
- ONS/OCC Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Provider Card – REQUIRED
- Must be the ONS Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certificate Course, not Fundamentals
- Strong oncology nursing experience
- Chemo competent
- Very proficient with IV insertions
Required Clinical Skills
- Peripheral IV insertion
- Peripheral blood draws
- Central line access, maintenance & de-accessing
- Patient assessment
- Patient education
- Monitoring patients during infusion
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies
Preferred
- Ambulatory infusion experience
- Epic/Beacon experience
- ACLS
- Previous travel experience
- Some ER experience
