RN - Emergency Dept

Overview

  • Travel RN role in Emergency Services
  • Location: Hickory, North Carolina
  • Shift: 1p-1a
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
  • Weekend schedule: rotate every other
  • Call: push back hours depending on census
  • One opening

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Cerner

Preferred

  • Fast-paced ED experience
  • Experience with strokes, STEMI’s, and trauma

Unit Details

  • Emergency Department
  • 32 beds
  • Patient ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
  • Trauma level not designated; receives all traumas
  • Patient population: birth to death
  • Critical care equipment used

Additional Notes

  • Float requirements: helping hands in areas where competencies apply
  • Must start on one of the listed orientation dates
  • Scrub color: any at this time
  • Unacceptable attire includes hoodies and inappropriate t-shirts
