Travel RN – PCU/Oncology | Premier Health

Unit: ME5 Oncology Unit
Location: Dayton, OH
Start Date: 10/26/2026
Contract: 13 or 18 Weeks (Winter Contract Available)
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Hours: 36 or 48 Hours Available

 

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Oncology experience required
  • Minimum 1.5 years of PCU/Stepdown experience
  • Must have documented experience with 1:5 patient ratios in PCU/Stepdown
  • Epic experience required
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • Must pass EKG/Telemetry competency exam before start
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Unit Highlights

  • 35-bed Medical Oncology/Hematology Unit
  • Mixed acuity: Med Surg and Advanced Care/PCU
  • Typical ratios: 1:4, can increase to 1:5-6
  • Frequent blood product administration
  • Chemotherapy patients
  • Drips, PCAs, wound care, and telemetry monitoring
  • Must float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units

Schedule & Requirements

  • No block scheduling
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • Float required, including High-Risk Respiratory/COVID units
  • RTO must be submitted with application (no additions after offer)

  • Telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
  • IV starts and maintenance
  • Blood product administration
  • Oncology patient care
  • Cardiac monitoring
  • Rapid response situations
