Location: Baltimore, MD

Shift: Day, 4x10 Hours (07:00 AM–05:30 PM)

Job Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Invasive Cath Lab as a Cath Lab RN with strong independent scrubbing skills.
• Scrub and assist with cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures while maintaining a sterile field.
• Perform accurate patient monitoring and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and dysrhythmias.
• Perform EKG lead placement and assist with hemodynamic monitoring.
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Participate in PCI, PTCA, stent placement, LHC, RHC, CTO, coronary atherectomy, and thrombectomy procedures.
• Assist with TAVR, MitraClip, TriClip, ASD/PFO closure, and other structural heart procedures.
• Assist with IABP and Impella placement/removal, temporary and permanent pacemaker procedures, and ECMO procedures.
• Assist with pericardiocentesis, aortic valvuloplasty, septostomy, and other advanced cardiac procedures.
• Maintain strict sterile technique and follow isolation precautions and PPE requirements.
• Respond appropriately to rapid response and code situations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to provide safe patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience; strong Cath Lab experience required.
• 2+ years of Cath Lab experience required for candidates with RCIS.
• Candidates with RT(R)/RTR credentials without RCIS require 3 years of Cath Lab experience.
• Recent 6–12 months of Cath Lab experience with strong independent scrubbing skills required.
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers may be considered with 3 years of strong Cath Lab experience.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred.
• RN must be able to scrub Cath Lab cases independently.
• Patient ratio experience: 1:1.
