Description
Oncology Infusion RN
Department: Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center — Viragh Infusion Clinic
Position: Ambulatory Oncology Infusion RN
Shift: Day, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM
Contract: 13 weeks
Required qualifications
- Active RN license
- At least 2 years of RN experience
- BLS
- Oncology infusion experience
- Experienced oncology nurse
- Chemo competent
- ONS/OCC Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Provider Card — required
- The posting specifically says this must be the ONS chemotherapy and immunotherapy certificate course, not the ONS Fundamentals course.
- Strong IV skills, including:
- Peripheral IV insertion
- Peripheral blood draws
- Central-line access, maintenance, and de-accessing
- Strong assessment skills
- Ability to provide ongoing patient education
- Ability to rapidly recognize and respond to emergencies in a fast-paced infusion environment
Preferred
- Epic/Beacon experience — must be very proficient
- ACLS
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Some emergency-room experience
- Ambulatory nursing experience
