• Shift: Day shift
• Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Schedule: 5 days/week, 8-hour shifts
• Orientation: 32 hours
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Start day: Allied candidates are generally pushed to a Thursday start if calling the e-line.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to pharmacists in inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations.
• Prepare unit doses, IV mixtures, and other medications.
• Perform medication data entry and medication delivery.
• Perform cartfill exchange and maintain medication stock.
• Maintain and stock automated dispensing cabinets/Omnicell.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile products using proper aseptic technique.
• Prepare IV mixtures and chemotherapy when required.
• Safely handle hazardous medications according to regulatory guidelines.
• Follow controlled-substance documentation and transfer requirements.
• Maintain medication inventory, par levels, storage, returns, recalls, and outdates.
• Help prevent and report medication errors.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations and accurately manipulate syringes, ampules, unit-dose packaging, etc.
• Work under the direct supervision of pharmacists.
• May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
• Must be able to stand/walk and push or pull delivery carts for 6–8 continuous hours per day.

Required Qualifications / Documents

Must Have

• Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician License — IN HAND at submission
• CPHT certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred/required for submission per compliance notes.
• 1–3 years of mixing experience
• High school diploma/equivalent
• Epic experience required to submit
• Aseptic/sterile compounding experience
• Ability to perform pharmaceutical mathematics
• Knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous medications
• Ability to read medical terminology
• Computer/keyboard proficiency

• RTO requested upfront, maximum 2 weeks
• Compliance documents
• Required labs within 48 hours of signing
• Relias exam/transcript as required; 85% or higher is required for OHSU
• Epic experience verification

Important Candidate Requirements

• No background or license hits accepted.
• Background screening is extensive and includes a lifetime review.
• Candidate may be required to float to affiliated hospitals.
• Must be away from the facility for 6+ months if returning staff.
• Only 2 jobs can be in the system for submission.
• Locals are accepted at the same rates.
